Kumbia Ambassadors is a band formed in 2024 by Chilean musicians Cristian “Justin” Peña, Ignacio Weiss, and Ricardo Troncoso. After a successful career with Anarkia Tropikal, the members relocated to Berlin and created this new project, born from the need to apply their deep knowledge of tropical music and fuse it with the experimental electronic aesthetics of Berlin.
Their live performances are an intense, high-energy dance experience, combining the joy of cumbia, the power of punk, and electronic atmospheres, resulting in a powerful show that takes audiences on a festive musical journey. In a short time, the band has become one of the most refreshing acts of the new tropical sound with international reach.
In 2025, Kumbia Ambassadors completed a 45-show tour across Europe, Chile, and the UK, and released their debut album “Kumbia Ambassadors: Live in Berlin”, recorded live at the legendary Sisyphos club, capturing the energetic fusion of the band’s tropical music with Berlin’s electronic scene.
